Which ASIN makes money, and which one is just revenue
Every ASIN has its own P&L: sales, referral fees, FBA fees, COGS, ad spend and net profit sit on the same row. In most accounts the revenue ranking and the profit ranking disagree — your best seller may not be your best earner.
A loss-making product hides behind revenue
At account level the picture looks fine: revenue is up, profit is positive. One product underneath can still be losing money on every order, and the others are paying for it. Nothing in a monthly total says so.
When fees and COGS are applied per ASIN the loss has nowhere to hide. A negative margin row is red on the page, not buried in a spreadsheet you would have to build yourself.
Ad spend is charged to the product
Ad spend reported at campaign level cannot answer "which product is this costing me". A campaign can advertise several ASINs, and one of them can be carrying all the waste.
Cirometre attributes spend down to the advertised product, so ad cost sits in the same row as that product’s fees and margin.
Frequently asked questions
Does the best-selling product make the most profit?
Usually not. Fee tiers, dimensions, return rate and ad spend differ per product, so the revenue ranking and the profit ranking rarely match. Both rankings are shown side by side on the analysis screen.
Where does product cost come from?
You enter it on the product record. A product without a cost is flagged — it is never silently treated as zero, because that would make its margin look perfect.
