Marketplaces do not sell the same product at the same profit
Referral percentages differ by category and by marketplace. FBA fees differ by size tier and by country. Return rates differ by customer behaviour. A product that clears 12% in one country can clear 2% in another.
Reading the marketplaces as one number averages those differences away, and the weak one keeps running because nobody can see it.
Comparison happens in a single currency
Each event is converted at its own day’s rate and then displayed in the currency you choose. The conversion does not rewrite history: a closed month stays where it was.
