The country decides the fields
Entity types are defined per country — sole proprietor, LLC, S-Corp, C-Corp and partnership in the US; sole trader, Ltd, GmbH, AG and SARL in the EU and UK. Tax fields, document layout and report lines follow, and owner residency is stored separately from the company’s country.
Not one list translated four ways
An entity type list that works everywhere works nowhere: an LLC is not a GmbH and neither is a sole trader.
Each country has its own list, and selecting one opens the fields that country actually requires.
Where the owner lives is a separate question
A US LLC owned by a non-resident is treated differently from one owned by a resident. Owner country and tax treaty country are stored on their own, because they change the treatment without changing the company.
