What needs ordering, before it runs out
Stock is tracked per product and per warehouse, with a minimum level set on the product rather than one threshold for the whole catalogue. Products below minimum, out of stock and negative are counted before the list begins.
One threshold for the whole catalogue is no threshold
A product that sells two a day and one that sells two hundred cannot share a reorder point. A single rule either floods you with warnings or arrives too late.
The minimum is a property of the product, so the warning means the same thing wherever it appears.
Negative stock is shown, not clamped
Clamping negative stock to zero hides the mistake that caused it — a sale recorded before the goods arrived, or a movement entered twice.
Showing it turns an invisible data problem into a visible one that someone can fix.
Frequently asked questions
Is stock tracked per warehouse?
Yes. Every movement belongs to a warehouse, and stock is reported both per location and in total.
What happens if stock goes negative?
It is shown as negative and flagged, because it almost always means a movement is missing or duplicated.
